Give your pets a new leash on life

Your pet gives you a lifetime of unconditional love, loyalty, protection and friendship.

In return, it depends on you to provide it with food, water, safe shelter, companionship and regular veterinary care.

Why should you sterilise your pet

Female dogs and cats are spayed by removing their reproductive organs and male dogs and cats 'neutered' by removing theirs.

Sterilizations help your pet:

  • Live a longer, healthier life.

  • Reduce the possibility of getting uterine, ovarian or breast cancer and other tumours such as transmissible venereal tumour.

  • Decrease the incidence of prostate disease.

  • To be less likely to bite and to roam the neighboring or get into fights; and

  • Controls unwanted births/animals.

Control of parasites

Internal parasites such as roundworms and tapeworms live inside your pet and rob them of vital nutrients leading to poor appetite, loss of energy, loss of blood and sometimes even death. This happens very easily to puppies and kittens. There are also different types of parasites, disorders and disease.

You need to ask your veterinarian to recommend products to get rid of these parasites.

Vaccinations

Rabies is deadly disease caused by a virus that attacks the nervous system.

The virus is usually transmitted by a bite from an infected animal.

To protect your pet and your family, pets must be vaccinated every year (puppies from three months-old). Keep your pets on your property to reduce the possibility of exposure to rabies.

Nutrition

For your pet to stay healthy and strong requires it to eat a balanced diet. Some diseases are preventable by feeding balanced rations.

There are some foods which may be dangerous to a pet such as alcoholic drinks, chocolates, mould foods and onions.

Contact your local veterinarian for a recommended diet for your pet.
